Sonal Shree

Sonal was trained in crystallography and structurally biology and completed her PhD training in Dr. R. Ravishankar’s lab at the Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow India.  She is working to characterizing branching morphognensis in sensory neurons using Drosophila as a model system.  She is interested in both how complex arbors form, and the molecular players that reguate branching, growth and intracellular transport.  Sonal keeps plants on her desk at all times, and sketches and plays with her daughter in her free time.
